The city of Laguna Niguel is an affluent suburban city in the southeastern part of Orange County, located in the San Joaquin Hills. It is about about 25 miles southeast of Anaheim, 50 miles southeast of Los Angeles, and 70 miles northwest of San Diego.  Laguna Niguel is a coastal city next to the Pacific Ocean and borders the cities of Aliso Viejo, Dana Point, Laguna Beach, Laguna Hills, Mission Viejo, and San Juan Capistrano.

Laguna Niguel is home to many upscale neighborhoods competing with Irvine and Newport Beach as attractive destinations for affluent buyers.  Laguna Niguel has a  perfect mix of nature parks and trails, coastal beach access city life, and plenty of shopping and dining nearby to make living in the city a dreamer’s paradise.

Laguna Niguel features one of the largest, most extensive parks systems of any Orange County city. Known for its miles of trails, it is a desirable place for joggers and runners. With over one-third of its total area designated as open space, Laguna Niguel is home to several regional parks, including Aliso & Wood Canyons Regional Park, Laguna Niguel Regional Park, and Badlands Park. The Niguel Botanical Preserve is an 18-acre botanical garden located within Crown Valley Community Park. Overall, the City also has two community parks, 23 neighborhood parks, three mini-parks, one dog park, two small county parks, and the Skate & Soccer Park.

Residents enjoy the free Summer Concerts Series held at Crown Valley Park and the Halloween Haunted Trails scare, the annual Echoes & Visions Juried Fine Art Show, and the winter Laguna Niguel Holiday Parade featuring marching bands, equestrian shows, and more.

Laguna Niguel residents are served by the Capistrano Unified School District. Seven elementary schools and one middle school are located in the City. The high schools serving Laguna Niguel students are located in Dana Point and Aliso Viejo. Saddleback College is a community college located within a few miles of Laguna Niguel.
